Macfadden is seeking Program/Grant Assistants, to provide additional program and grants support to OFDA’s Asia, Latin America, and EMCA (Europe, Middle East and Central Asia) Division. The position requires candidates with excellent judgment and reliability who are willing to go the extra mile for OFDA. Travel is not anticipated for this position.
Key Accountabilities:
The Program/Grant Assistants will be working with Regional Teams to improve work streams and efficiency of grant review and processing, provide additional entry points for new staff to OFDA program work, improve process quality and accountability, and take creative steps to address recruiting challenges. Day to day work assignments and oversight will be provided by the OFDA Regional Team Leader or Deputy Team Leader with formal supervisory and evaluation functions by the Program Manager.
Essential Functions:
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Provide initial review and processing of proposals to expedite the review process. Duties will include, but not limited to, acknowledging receipt of proposals, reviewing submissions for required elements, initial ABACUS data entry, scheduling/posting submissions for review, and assisting with award package preparation.
· Monitoring, tracking, and processing programmatic close out actions.
· Assisting the team in consistently monitoring data quality control.
· Tracking evaluation/monitoring/reporting compliance.
· Reviewing and preparing post-award management documentation in support of the AOR.
· Assist with award quality control and follow-up on corrections.
· Attend USAID meetings and public events on behalf of the team in a reporting capacity, as assigned by the team leader.
Education:BA/BS completion.
Experience:1 year of professional/office experience, including internships.
Required Skills: Must have excellent writing, editing, and communication skills. Must be able to meet deadlines and multitask, have strong attention to detail, and work well with others in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
U.S. Citizenship is required; selected candidate must be able to qualify for a government sponsored security clearance.
